Family Care Ministries

Married Couples Ministry
The mission of the Married Couples Ministry is to encourage prayer, love, fidelity, and support for each other as we honor a covenant relationship between husband and wife, the way God intended.
The purpose of the Marriage Ministry is to prayerfully seek marital growth with love and unity.
Objectives of the Marriage Ministry:
• Establish and maintain a Christ-centered home
• Have a meaningful prayer life, incorporated with bible study, so that we may learn what the Scripture teaches about marriages
• Focus on the commitment to each other while making the marriage a number one priority
• Develop better inter-personal communication skills
• Encourage married couples within the church to participate in this ministry

Men’s Ministry

The Men’s Ministry at SCBC is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for Men to fellowship and discuss key topics that are relevant to Men and grown in their knowledge of Jesus Christ. Additionally, we assist Men of God in successfully navigating life based on biblical principles.

Seniors Ministry
The Second Calvary Men’s ministry seeks to encourage men to become courageous for God and to be men of integrity and loyalty. We strive to help men exemplify appropriate leadership with excellence and become self-disciplined in their spiritual walk with Christ.

Women’s Ministry
The Seniors Ministry seeks to improve and maintain members’ physical health and foster our spiritual growth and development. Further, we seek to bring fulfillment through encouragement, craft initiatives, and loving fellowship with our fellow members according to Hebrews 10:24,15, “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is: but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Sisters United
The Women’s Ministry seeks to meet the needs of the total woman and the issues we face by providing biblical studies for spiritual growth. Through our studies we aim to become more like Christ. Our desire is for each woman to have self-love, self-esteem, and to develop true friendships. We seek to allow each woman to nurture her spiritual gifts to benefit the Body of Christ and the surrounding community.
