ADORNING MINISTRY
The Adorning Ministry is to enhance the beauty of the interior of the church seasonally, and for any events that require specific decorations for the occasion.

CULINARY MINISTRY
The mission of the Culinary Ministry is to serve the church by managing all kitchen-related activities including, overseeing the SCBC kitchen and dining areas. We accomplish this through planning, coordinating, and preparing meals for church and ministry events. The goal of the Culinary Ministry is to serve with excellence. We plan menus, prepare and serve food for SCBC events and assist other church ministries with culinary needs for their programs and ministry events. The Culinary Ministry has members who provide the table settings and decorations for the fellowship.

EVENTS MINISTRY
The mission of the Events Ministry is to advance the Kingdom of God by helping other ministries plan church events that are spiritually and educationally motivated. We strive to plan events that will express Second Calvary’s love for God. We will do our best to make every event excellent, pleasing and acceptable unto God.

GREETERS/HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
The mission of the Greeters/Hospitality Ministry at Second Calvary Baptist Church is to reflect God’s love and to ensure an enjoyable worship experience. The Ministry purpose is to assist visitors and members with their special needs and church-related information. We are committed to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. This is accomplished by greeting attendees with a heartfelt welcome and a pleasant smile, extending a friendly handshake or hug, and providing assistance as needed.

HEALTH AND FITNESS MINISTRY
The Health Ministry of Second Calvary Baptist Church is built on the principles of God’s Word… “I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” (Romans 12:1). We provide opportunities for our congregation to experience spiritual growth through healthy living and wellness. The Health Ministry provides emergency response to meet our congregation’s needs during worship services and weekly ministry activities. To facilitate our congregation having the best knowledge of healthcare concerns, we provide health fairs, blood drives, and health tips throughout the year.

SECURITY TEAM MINISTRY
The Security Ministry provides protection for the SCBC church family. We strive to ensure a safe environment by monitoring the church facilities and parking lots during worship services and weekly ministry activities. We direct traffic to ensure that SCBC members and visitors are able to securely enter and exit the premises.

TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY
The mission of the Transportation Ministry is to afford anyone in need the opportunity to attend worship on a weekly basis. In doing so, we seek to provide timely and courteous door-to-door transportation to and from Sunday worship services, when requested. Additionally, we seek to assist the other ministries by providing them with a safe mode of travel to and from church and ministry events.

USHERS MINISTRY
The mission of the Ushers Ministry is to promote divine worship within the church. As doorkeepers of the Lord’s house, we serve with gladness in making sure each worshipper is assisted with excellence. We believe that if we serve with efficiency and excellence, we can eliminate any discomfort a worshipper may experience during service. Our goal is to assist in the mission and vision of SCBC by facilitating an atmosphere that advances the Kingdom of God. This is accomplished by maintaining a welcoming spirit in providing hospitality to visitors, friends, and members of our church.
