THEATRICAL ARTS MINISTRIES
The mission of the SCBC Fine Arts Ministry is to honor the Lord with the creative arts, gifts, and talents He has given us to further the Kingdom. We strive to honor God through effectually ministering through dance, drama and pantomime. Our goal is to help create and usher in an atmosphere welcoming the Holy Spirit; to inspire praise & worship; to encourage and equip believers in Christ, as well as to bring others into the Kingdom of God. The Fine Arts Ministry seeks to use the vehicles of dance, drama and pantomime to communicate the Word of God in a relevant way to people of all ages. All areas and facets of the Fine Arts Ministry are equally important and we are dedicated to creating an atmosphere where individuals can learn about Fine Arts, grow spiritually, and use their gifts and talents to ultimately glorify God
DRAMA MINISTRY
As children of our Heavenly Father, our mission is to use our dramatic talents and gifts to help our church family and others connect to the Word of God through religious and comedic experiences. These experiences and teachings glorify God by providing an additional outlets such as plays, skits, monologues, choral readings, recitations, and other dramatic presentations. The Drama Ministry has several annual presentations such as Dinner Theatre, Christmas and Easter productions which foster opportunities for members to minister the Word of God through creative dramatic arts.
JUDAH LITURGICAL DANCE MINISTRY
The Judah Liturgical Dance Ministry serves to advance the Kingdom of God by exemplifying the joy of salvation, by demonstrating liberated worship, and by illustrating restoration through dance and expressive movement. We can only dance with excellence through our connection with God, no other standard is an option.
The collective purpose of the Children/Mothers/Daughters/Sons of Judah, is to worship God through dance and expressive movement, to usher in the Holy Spirit during worship services, and to provide another medium through which God’s Word is made plain
