AUDIO/VIDEO MINISTRY
The mission of the Audio/Video Ministry is to exalt Jesus Christ through prayer, music, giving, and preaching; to aggressively seek the lost; and to encourage the redeemed by promoting a harmonious flow of the worship experience. Our purpose is to create an atmosphere that lends itself to the clear delivery of the Gospel by providing, with excellence, the best quality sound for all church functions. Our goal is to allow each attendee to experience the Living Lord, Jesus Christ, Who manifests Himself among the people of God through the Holy Spirit. The SCBC Tech Team accomplishes this by attending all events that creatively and visually utilize audio and video (future) equipment.

HISTORICAL ARCHIVES MINISTRY
Our mission is to provide Second Calvary Baptist Church with historical contents from our past to our present. We strive to collect, maintain and preserve all historical documents and past records of pivotal moments in the life of SCBC. The items we collect are photographs, newspaper clippings, tapes, literature, obituaries, programs, and any artifacts related to the history of SCBC.

COMMUNICATIONS MINISTRY
Our mission is to help all ministries and the surrounding communities to advance the Kingdom of God by using the most up-to-date technology available to mankind. We keep all computers updated with appropriate software and fix any software problems. We provide training for SCBC members on Microsoft applications.

SOCIAL MEDIA MINISTRY
The purpose of the Social Media Ministry is:
To communicate-
Social Media is another effective tool to add to the church’s communication mosaic. Social Media must help the church communicate its message effectively and efficiently. The church communicates to its people through the Sunday morning platform, with bulletins, mailings, phone calls, emails, face-to-face conversations, television, radio, etc.
– It’s easy and effortless. It doesn’t take much money or manpower to implement or use it.
– It’s ubiquitous. Since it is so readily available and pervasive, it isn’t hard for people to miss the message.
– It offers variety. Social media takes many different forms, words, audio and image.
– It’s viral. The beauty of social media is that your message can expand well beyond its intended audience, therefore exposing and introducing new people to your cause and community.
To connect-
We aim to connect the community. We must ask will Social Media create conversation within the community? Are people able to talk to you, the minister/ministry team leader? Can they talk to one another? Also, part of the conversation involves other key elements:
– contribute, can others contribute in helpful and meaningful ways to the conversation? Are they even able to shape the conversation?
– collaborate, does your social media allow the benefits from the collective hive of experience, skills and knowledge from your community?
To call to action-
Social Media must prompt people to do something. It can’t be passive. Some of the calls to ACTION might include:
– Go. Are you asking someone to go and serve others in some way?
– Give. Are you asking someone to give either of their time or financially to the cause?
– Pray. Are you calling people to act in concerted and persevering prayer?
-Mobilize. Are you asking people to spread the message of the cause to their friends and networks?

WEBSITE MINISTRY
The website will be used to reach out to the world (Matthew 28:19). We will use the web as another form of evangelism. We will use the website to inform others about our ministries and times of our services. We will use the website as a tool for people to read their Bibles and find information to help them study the Word. We will use the website for people to listen to sermons, submit prayer requests, download songs to mp3’s and purchase merchandize. We will use the website for members to view the church calendar, announcements, and our E-Weekly.
